This course focuses on the skills and competencies required to assist the delivery of sports or physical activity coaching sessions under the direct supervision of a more qualified coach.

The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (Sport & Physical Activity) will support learners to develop the knowledge and skills required to lead their own coaching sessions within their own environment.

This course focuses on the skills and competences required to be able to plan, deliver and evaluate annual coaching programmes, either working independently (if over the age of 18) or as part of a coaching team.

This qualification is designed to prepare learners for deployment as independent coaches of multi-skills and physical activity and will introduce learners to the principles of coaching fundamental movement skills and sport specific skills.

The concluding assessment will evaluate the planning, delivery and review of a series of linked and progressive coaching sessions. The qualification is recognised as the industry standard Level 2 Multi-Skills coaching qualification, alongside the Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport, which is a smaller coaching qualification.
